Glossary
Since some people don't know the words that I used in this website, I decided to make a glossary to give definitions for the words that are typed in blue.
Ductile: the property of a metal that enables it to be drawn into a wire
Electronegativity: a measure of the attraction of the electrons in an atom
Ionization energy: the amount of energy needed to remove the most loosely bound electron
Malleable: the property of metals that allows them to be hammered into shapes
Octet: the stable valence electron configuration of eight electrons
Radius: the distance of the atom from the nucleus to the valence shell
Spectra: a band or series of colors that are separated by white light, usually in colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet
Valence level: the outer energy shell of an atom
